COVID-19: COULD THESE BE THE REASONS FOR THE HIGH DEATH TOLL IN ITALY? (part II)

As already mentioned in our previous article, Italy has about 14 million people above the age of 65. This group of people already fall under the at-risk group. With the number of Covid-19 infected persons increasing exponentially in most countries, there is a high demand on breathing apparatuses (NB: Most countries don't really have the best of medical system to fight an epidemic). But with time we all will build antibodies (natural defence system) to fight covid-19 back.
Now health personnel are confronted with making tough choices. Would you rather give the limited respiratory apparatus to people above age 65 when there are people below age 30 (working force) equally struggling for survival? The idea behind it is like this: The old people have already lived their lives. It's therefore, wise to save the lives of the youth who would later help in re-building the nation's economy. Our african parents usually convey this message to us in this manner: "I don't want to bury my child. My child must bury me."
Please, stay home! Stay safe!
